Curling up with your favorite Christmas movie…finding a special gift…catching a glimpse of Santa…gathering with friends…caroling out in the snow. Treasured traditions build the anticipation and joy of the holiday season. And in Waynesboro, Virginia, you’ll find a community that knows how to celebrate!
Come stay in one of our cozy Bed & Breakfasts or join us for a festive day. While we can’t guarantee snow, we can promise you a showing of the classic White Christmas and holiday traditions that will make you feel right at home.
Kick off the holiday season with this community tradition! Over 75 community groups and businesses will be participating in the Waynesboro Christmas Parade. A special Toys for Tots float will set the tone of this year’s theme, “Spirit of Giving,” and spectators can make donations as the float passes.
The Nutcracker x2
Catch several performances of the holiday classic The Nutcracker by the Old Dominion Performance Arts Studio & Progressions Repertory Dance Company on Dec. 2nd and 3rd…
or by The Albemarle Ballet Theatre at the Wayne Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 11.
A ticket to the Christmas Home Tour is your chance to experience the historic architecture and beautiful holiday decor in the Wayne Theatre and five historic homes in the Tree Streets District.
Jolly Elves and their emissaries can find one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts for everyone on their list at Shenandoah Valley Art Center’s Holiday Market. Vendors will feature paintings, pottery, sculpture, soaps, jewelry, textiles, and more.
Eat, Drink, & Be Merry!
Waynesboro’s breweries know how to spread cheer! Stop in and discover your new favorite brew.
The Seven Arrows Brewing Company taps offer up their core brews as well as seasonal and rotating favorites like Firefall Blood Orange Lambic and Sundog Milkstout.
At Basic City Beer Co., pull up a chair and savor their Trippel, debuting in December. The banana, sour apple, and clove character of this Belgian Style beer pairs nicely with a cold winter’s day. On tap will also be their new Imperial Stout with the delicious description of “dark, chewy, and chocolatey.”
With 16 beers on tap and weekly small batch releases, Stable Craft Brewing’s Draft Room is a perfect place to gather with friends to celebrate the holidays.
The pre-holiday rush can be exhausting. As you’re hustling around town, swing by Micah’s Coffee or Kline’s Dairy Bar. A peppermint truffle mocha or a peppermint cone is just the boost in morale you need in order to wrap that next gift or bake that pie. (Take home a container of Kline’s homemade ice cream, and you won’t need to make dessert!)
Santa’s own busy schedule includes these two delicious stops on his pre-Christmas route.
